Research, Studying, and Prospecting
This morning I listened to some information on building the business and took some notes. The only way I learn is by doing, so I am going to practice writing/saying the things I learned to make sure I truly understand and really know the information. I looked through some of the information I have and am starting to really put it to memory so I can be a true educator, a very important aspect of business building. I am going to put what I have learned to a test in the next few days! Back to work! =)
Getting Started & Super Excited but a bit Anxious!
This blog is inspired by Dan McLaughlin (TheDanPlan.com) who is a 31-year-old that quit his job in June 2009 and devoted himself to practicing golf six hours a day, six days a week, for six years to attempt to become a professional golfer. What is so great about his story is that he had never golfed before he began. What a great inspiring story! Persistence & Consistency is definitely key here, a very important aspect in building any success business.
My blog will be my journey building an affiliate marketing business, starting from scratch working the same concept above. I am going to work for 6 years, working 6.5 hour days, 5 days a week which will be a little over 10,000 hours. This concept comes from the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell who popularized the notion that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become great at something. I am super excited but a bit anxious, a great feeling really. It reminds me of when I was preparing for a race in High School track, I would get knots in my stomach but I was so ready to start the race and do my very best, all the way to the finish! I am definitely looking at this as a lifestyle change which gives me a whole new and improved perspective in life. It allows me to dream of possibilities and opportunities that are just waiting for me. I just need to get out of my comfort zone and just do it afraid. I just have to remember that this life is a long continuum, and every step of the way you get closer to helping the next person that you were meant to help. You may have to go through that line of life to get to them but they are there just waiting on you too go through your “no’s” so you can get to the “yes’s” in life.
